Dancing With God
Author unknown: When I meditated on the word Guidance, I kept seeing “dance” at the end of the word. I remember reading that doing God’s will is a lot like dancing.. When two people try to lead, nothing feels right. The movement doesn’t flow with the music, and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky. When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead, both bodies begin to flow with the music. One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back or by pressing Lightly in one direction or another. It’s as if two become one body, moving beautifully. The dance takes surrender, willingness, and attentiveness from one person and gentle guidance and skill from the other. My eyes drew...
In The Morror
Look in the mirror what do I see I see a girl that looks like me I look deep into her eyes To my surprise all I see is misery The look on her face is such a disgrace She feels like she shouldn’t be at this place Like she needs her own space She seems alone Like she can’t find a place to call home The look in each eye It looks like she wants to cry, I see fear Then she suddenly develops a tear When I looked deeper inside It seems like all these things she tries to hide They say mirrors show your reflection But in this one it shows different affections Look in the mirror what do I see I see a girl that looks like me By: Haylee...
Take This Heart Lord
Take this heart Lord, and mend it over, it’s been broken in two, And my life’s not been the same Lord, since I strayed away from You. Till the storms of life pass over, In Your strong arms let me hide, Then forever and always, let me walk close by Your side. I am nothing without You, I walk a path that’s lame, Nor can I see without You, so I’m, calling on Your name. Hear my prayer, and see my sadness, give my life a brand new start. Then with the touch of Your mighty hands, please mend this broken heart. Father I’m so low in spirit, and my soul is out of place, And this world is so confusing, so I seek Your precious face. It’s just sometimes I feel like dying, For my sins I’m so ashamed, Now I’m asking forgiveness, I’m calling on Your...
Chi Rho
Chi and Rho are the first two letters (ΧΡ) of “Christ” in Greek ΧΡΙΣΤΟΣ. (Christos). Sometimes it is called the Monogram of Christ. While it was used very early by persecuted Christians in the catacombs, when Constantine I was struggling to become emperor, he used the symbol at the front of his armies and was victorious. The story goes that in 312 AD, Constantine I (ruled 306 – 337) was about to lead his army in a battle with his enemy Maxentius at the Milvian Bridge outside Rome. The winner would become emperor of the whole empire. Originally Constantine had been a pagan, but he was worried about the coming battle. He says he started to pray to the “Supreme God” for help. There was a sign in the sky “above the...
