Times are hard all over, from hours being cut to jobs being lost, or maybe it’s your health or the health of a loved one. Sometimes it looks as if there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. The truth is not only is there a light at the end of the tunnel, but there’s one that has been called, and indeed is the light of the world. His name is Jesus, the one and only Son of the living God. Jesus in John 8:12 said … I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Jesus never said following Him would be easy in any way. As a matter of fact, following Jesus can be a hard journey, before salvation, Satan has no reason to be that much of a bother to you. But at the point of salvation, you are walking in a different direction than that of Satan. That’s when spiritual warfare comes into play. Satan knows your weaknesses, and will use them all to trip you up. He knows that if he can trip you up enough times, there’s a good chance you’ll turn away from God and choose the road that seems to be easier. But that’s not the answer. Open your bible, study God’s word. The more you know about God’s word, the stronger your faith will grow. So… put on the whole armour of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Ephesians 6:11 – 17. Be strong in the Lord, fight the good fight and always remember… he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13:5
So… Try Jesus. If you don’t like Him, the devil will always take you back.
