I stood high on the mountain and asked for some help; not Knowing, where it would come from, but in need of finding myself. A need so great, a need so sure; A need so powerful, that through time it would endure. As I stood, I searched the depths of my mind, I began to ask. “What is it I’m looking to find?” I sank to the ground, slowly, without a care, As my heart grieved, I sank into a world of despair. Darkness had embraced me with it’s arms open wide; And left me with nothing but a hope in which to die. Then suddenly came a voice that said, “I am the Light”, I lifted my head and beheld such a beautiful sight. The clouds had parted, the sun did appear, What was this joyful presence I felt so near? As I lifted my body to rest on my knees, I was filled with wonder at this beautiful scene. The voice carried on the wind as it told me not to fear, “I have come to guide you, I have come with great cheer.” As I stood to my feet, my heart beating faster, I knew that it was Him this must be the Master. The voice spoke again from far up above, I listened intently, for I needed His love. “Listen to me child, take heed of my word: I am your Salvation for your eternal life when you leave this earth. Be ye not sorrowful, sad or depressed; For I am here, and your life shall be blessed. With love and hope and happiness anew; With all the Glories of God it can hold for you. Accept Me into your life and it shall never be empty, And you shall live with Me, my child, for eternity.” Then the earth fell silent, except for the sound of my crying, For all these years, the LordI had been denying. Suddenly it was clear, as it loomed in my mind; The Lord, God Almighty was all I needed to find!!!
