Lord, do you see what I see?
Can’t you see what he does?
He is a user, he is an abuser,
no matter where he is placed.
Lord, do You see what I see?
Don’t You know what he does?
He doesn’t want the glory for You,
But for that of his own.
Lord, do you see what I see?
Can’t you feel what he has done?
He has left us all,
for a self that is only one.
Lord, do you see what I see?
He can’t see what he has done.
He has vision but he does not look.
He has hearing but he does not listen.
Lord, do you see what I see?
He does not know what he has done.
He has failed them all,
failed them, each and every one.
Lord, do You see what I see?
He can’t understand why he has none.
Not a relative, not a friend
not a soul to comprehend.
Lord, do you see what I saw?
Can’t you see that he is no longer there.
He took his life, which had no one to share
without a thought, without even one care.
Lord did you see what I saw?
He said that he knew you, that you knew us all.
But as he lies there in his earthly riches and his blood
It seems he never really knew you, is what I saw.
